What we did
If you have children, you’re probably used to
seeing a photocopied piece of A4 that has been
smeared with jam roly-poly. This constitutes the
termly newsletter. Not any more it’s not.
Baynards Primary School is a local school close
to Frontmedia’s HQ. They needed our design
expertise to help promote themselves to the
wider local community. With a new headteacher,
the school’s profile needed to be raised and help
shift public perception and expectations.
We wanted to approach this project as we’d
approach any project and give Baynards a
professional edge. A style was established
with the school’s colours of red and blue
forging the core to the brand. Gradients of red
were introduced to give warmth and depth.
Professionally taken photography commissioned
to capture the spirit of the pupils and teaching
staff alike.
A modern, typographic style was created for the
newsletter to give an informal, easily readable style
which is ultimately informative and engaging.
